About the Film…
A MORMON PRESIDENT – Joseph Smith and the Mormon Quest for the White House is a documentary film that explores the controversy surrounding the Mormon Church today by examining the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith’s run for U.S. President and the events that led up to his murder by an angry mob in 1844. Through dramatic reenactments and interviews with top historical experts, A Mormon President looks for answers to timely questions like: Why are millions of Americans opposed to Mormonism? Who was Joseph Smith? Why was the Mormon leader murdered? What is the story behind polygamy and other “secrets” of the LDS church? Do the Mormons have an agenda for the White House? Is America ready for a Mormon President? The DVD also contains a “bonus” section about Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman, and other modern-day Mormon candidates.
